Double Crush Syndrome (DCS) involves nerve compression at multiple sites along a peripheral nerve pathway, often complicating diagnosis and treatment due to overlapping symptoms. A deeper understanding of cervical spine involvement can help clinicians more accurately assess, differentiate, and treat upper extremity neuropathic injuries.

Join us for an insightful lecture that delves into the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, assessment strategies, and evidence-based interventions for cervical radiculopathy and DCS. Learn how to optimize functional outcomes and improve quality of life for your patients.

1. Define Double Crush Syndrome and describe its pathophysiology, including common compression sites from the cervical spine to the wrist.
2. Recognize clinical signs and symptoms of DCS and distinguish them from isolated nerve entrapments.
3. Apply targeted assessment tools and techniques to effectively identify Double Crush Syndrome within occupational therapy practice, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and clinical decision-making.

Dr. McGehee brings over 20 years of experience in neurological and musculoskeletal care. He specializes in non-surgical spine care and interventional procedures such as spinal injections, ultrasound-guided joint injections, nerve blocks, and neuromodulation. His patient-centered approach focuses on restoring mobility and improving quality of life.

Dr. McGehee earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, completed his residency at the University of Michigan Hospitals, and pursued a fellowship in anesthesia pain medicine at Oregon Health & Science University.
