The health and safety of ILOTA members is the top priority for the ILOTA Executive Board. ILOTA , along with AOTA has been closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) regarding COVID-19. AOTA has done an excellent job keeping members and state association leaders informed.  Following the CDC’s March 15 recommendation that organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or
more throughout the United States for the next 8 weeks, ILOTA is postponing all face-to-face events and we are working to provide an online format for meetings and CE events.

In response to the on-going changes within the state related to COVID-19 and therapy provision, ILOTA Executive board members and ILOTA Lobbyist have been monitoring and attempting to lobby the Illinois State Legislature to make needed changes to the telehealth restrictions. The Illinois Legislature is currently not in session, resulting in a lag in response to this issue. ILOTA is also offering a Town Hall meeting to understand the issues practitioners are facing, share resources, and offer support. Please see the Resources section for more information.
