Occupational Therapist Full-time or Part-time

Turning Pointe Autism Foundation continues to grow and is seeking a full-time or part-time Occupational Therapist for our therapeutic day school.

The Occupational Therapist will:

Provide individual and group OT sessions.

  • Complete and maintain professional documentation with regards to student files, student session, attendance, session notes, quarterly reports, and student progress.
  • Submit quarterly progress reports and update benchmarks related to IEP goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings as needed.  Participate as a team member developing appropriate IEP goals based on formal and informal assessment.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and complete and maintain IEP goals.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have a degree in Occupational Therapy from a program approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).
  • Candidate must have current certifications, and be an OTR/L meeting ISBE requirements.
  • Experience working with middle school, high school, and transition age students impacted by autism spectrum disorder.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to discuss and consider team opinions.
